The second picture shows off the little outie I'm starting to get.
I just got back from my doctor appointment and it went OK. My BP was slightly elevated for the first time so far...or ever, actually! I always have great BP, so I was a little shocked that it was high. But, given all the events that have taken place over the last few weeks, then the busy week with my mom, and my baby shower Saturday, I guess I shouldn't be too shocked. ;) I think that has also caused the swelling I'm having in my feet and ankles...I have a little bit in my fingers, but not much. I definitely put my feet up any time I can, but I just haven't been able to much the last week or so. That's the plan for the next several days...rest and prop the feet up! There was nothing in my urine to cause concern, but she did order some lab work just to make sure everything is looking good as far as that goes. Luckily, this nurse didn't make me look like I've been shooting up. She was gentle! :) The doc checked me and I seem to be right on track for 36 weeks. Not dilated any, but thinned slightly. I'm pretty sure Hudson has dropped a little bit. I was able to breathe better when I slept last night and didn't even have to use another pillow to prop up. I go back to the doc next Tuesday, since the glider is being delivered on Monday, I didn't want to have to worry about booking it to Cullman before or after they come to deliver it. I'm anxious to see how that appointment goes and how things are looking next week!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 36 Weeks down, 4 weeks to go! Whew, where has the time gone?!?!
Size of baby: Between 19 & 22 inches long, and the size of a watermelon! Weighs around 6.5 lbs!!
Total Weight Gain: From here on out, I'll say 25+. :-)
Maternity Clothes: Pants, some shirts, and a couple of dresses. I have only a few regular things I can wear and I pretty much live in the same few outfits because I refuse to buy anymore maternity clothes since I'm so close to the end. I'm ready for my normal clothes...AND my normal body back! :)
Stretch Marks: No. But I have "the line" down my belly.
Belly button in or out: Well, the top part is popping out, and the rest is not too far behind.
Gender: BOY! Hudson Thomas Puckett :)
Movement: Yes! I feel him every day, on and off throughout the day. He is a very active little boy and really likes to play about the time I'm going to bed. ;) His favorite times to move are in the mid-morning and in the evening. He enjoys jabbing me right above me belly button (over, and over, and over), and in my right ribs. :-) It's not the most comfortable thing in the world at this point, but I still love feeling him move all the time. I'm convinced he's trying to figure out a way to bust out with all the moving he's doing in there! HA!
Food Cravings/Aversions: I am finding that I want sweets more lately. Mostly, I just like food in general, but get very full, very fast! I'd rather snack around on small things throughout the day than eat one big meal.
What I miss: Sleeping comfortably, moving comfortably, living comfortably....ha! ;-)
Sleep: I have a hard time getting comfortable at night, and the days of sleeping in are a thing of the past! I have to switch sides every couple of hours. My hips and legs hurt and my arms go numb. Flipping over is a serious workout though.
Symptoms: Fatigue(more like exhaustion), backaches, shortness of breath, frequent urination, and I've been running hot too!
Best Moment this week: We had the BEST baby shower for little Hudson on Saturday. Several wonderful friends hosted it for us and we are so incredibly grateful to them! We can't express our appreciation enough! Many dear friends and family members came to the shower and we are just so touched by everyone's kindness and generosity. Now begins the task of putting things together, getting the car seat in the car, getting his clothes washed and ready, and organizing all the the little things in his room.(AND getting mommy and Hudson's bags packed! Eeekk!) It's so hard to believe that in 4 weeks or less our sweet little boy will be here and we will be parents!! We are so excited to meet him!
We've already put together a couple of things, including the Pack 'n Play that Hudson's Aunt Lissa & Uncle Johnny got for him. :-) Love it! Thank you so much!!!
I will do a post about the shower tomorrow. It will be hard to narrow down the pics, but I'll do my best. I don't think you want to read a post with 143 pictures, nor do I want to write one. ;-)
Have a great Monday!!
YAYAYAAAY! It looks so great set up!!
ReplyDeleteYou sound like you're right on track :) Try not to worry about the elevated BP. So long as the doc isn't worried and you have no protein in your urine, you should be just fine. Make sure you're drinking LOTS of water, that'll help quite a bit. And if you're comfortable in the tub, soak in Epsom salts. That will help with the swelling. My BP spiked my last couple of weeks, too, and I was told to eat lots of celery and beets. I didn't. LOL.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you both!

Ok, I'm going to be mean and say it...you finally have the pregnant nose, lol! I mean it with all the love in my heart because you're gorgeous as always, but there is this magical point toward the end of pregnancy where your nose doesn't look like it belongs to you anymore! Won't be long now...my bet is 7# 13 oz 21 1/2 inches long on 4/21/11!
ReplyDeleteI think so too, Melissa! ;-)
ReplyDeleteTamara, that just made me laugh so hard!!! I totally have the pregnancy face, nose included! I finally realized it after looking at the shower pictures. :-) I'll be glad to get my face back, that's for sure. Your guess sounds good to me! We'll see if you're right! ;)
