I love the pumpkin patch up here. We go to Tate Farms in Meridianville. We lived about 5 minutes away from it last year but since we moved, it's about 35-40 minutes away. It has tons of fun things to do, snacks and a couple places to eat, animals to pet, and much more. Last year Hudson wasn't even 6 months old when we went so it was mostly just for us. This year he got to experience things and actually play and it was a lot of fun. It was a lot busier this time than last year, because we went the beginning of Oct. They only go through Halloween so people are going now before they close. We still had fun, though, even with the large crowd.
Hudson was in a weird mood. He was in heaven with the animals, pumpkins, and just to walk around, but he wanted his daddy a lot. Here are a bunch of pics from our visit to the patch. I tried not to include any that were in yesterday's post but there may be some duplicates.
There were cotton fields right outside where we parked so, being the cotton field obsessed person I am, we had to take some pics in front of it. Joseph snapped this as I was walking to it(totally didn't intend for it to be a good one), and I thought it turned out nice. It would've been even cuter if Hudson were looking at the camera, though.
We were trying to wave at daddy. Hudson's wave is more of a cow milking motion so if his hand looks a little strange, that's why. ;-)
That's a little better.
My two loves. I tried to get a kiss but he wouldn't give me one. Here's a half hearted attempt at one for daddy.
Seriously, obsessed.
One of Hudson's new friends.
He loved the bunnies.
Daddy was brave enough to get one out for him to pet. Momma would just rather pet their heads. ;-)
Watching the goats. They were really crowded so we just watched from afar.
He liked mooing at the little calf. ;)
Probably my favorite picture of the day.
The sweet little piggies. I felt so bad for them because they seemed tired and scared.
We just pet them right quick and left. They just wanted a nap. Bless it.
We tried out a big swing for the first time and here's how that went.
Not a fan, evidently. Maybe next time. :)
Hay ride out to the pumpkins. He did like this, at least.
Looking for the perfect pumpkin.
This is the winner!
Checking out the "lunch lady" pumpkins. They're characterized by their many warts. I pulled a Stephanie Tanner....How Rude!!
Our wheelbarrow full of pumpkins. ;-)
A few last pics before he was just completely done!
And when you go alone, you don't get any pictures of the whole family so we just settled for separate pictures. Oh well.
We had a lot of fun and just enjoy doing different things with Hudson when we can. We carved our pumpkin this afternoon and let's just say Joseph and I will not win a pumpkin carving contest. I'll post some pics of that experience tomorrow. ;) Y'all have a great Sunday evening!!
We took Hayden (20 mo) to the pumpkin patch in Clanton last week... All he wanted to do was get on the inflatables (but he's too little). The hayride to and from the pumpkin patch made him quite nervous, he fussed the whole time. Hudson is growing up so fast! Y'all are doing a fantastic job!
ReplyDeleteI figured Hudson would hate the hayride and cry the whole time, but he loved it. It was the little random things he hated! haha! I hope he loves it next year. It's amazing how fast they grow. I'm pretty sure both of our boys were just a few months old yesterday. Thanks for your kind words. :-)
