6 Months!!!

Hudson....it is so hard to believe that you are 6 MONTHS OLD today!! That's HALF A YEAR!! I'm pretty sure we brought you home from the hospital just last week! You no longer look like a baby, but a little boy. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I do not like the idea of you growing up. :( I seriously gotta find a way to freeze time.

Here's what you're up to now....

• We go to the doctor Monday, but I would guess you weigh 17-18 pounds and are about 26.5-27 inches long.
  
• You wear a size 2 diaper, but as soon as we get through this last box we'll move up to 3s. You wear a size 3 overnight diaper and it fits pretty well.
• You are in 6-9 months clothes. Very few 6 months things are fitting.
• You are eating about 5 ounces 5-6 times a day.
• You are still sleeping great in your crib, although you have been waking up at least once a night for the past couple of weeks. I think it's teething!
• We're gradually trying to get your bedtime to 8. Last night you slept from about 8:10-4:30, had a bottle, then put yourself back to sleep around 6 for about an hour. You did not want to go back to sleep!
• You love food and are now eating a fruit and/or veggie for lunch and dinner. You're still not hungry enough for breakfast yet, but we'll add it in soon I'm sure.
  
• You have loved almost everything you've tried, with the exception of peas (unless they're mixed with something else).
• Naps are still going well, although they do vary a little from day to day.
• You LOVE your jumperoo(and I do mean LOVE) and spend about 20 minutes in it a few times a day. Sometimes you jump so hard I think you're going to jump a hole in the floor! (Best babysitter EVER!) ;-)
  
• Your motor skills have gotten so much better in the last month and you can pick up all kinds of things, spin your toys on your jumperoo, and put your paci back in your mouth(sometimes).
• You are sitting up! Sometimes you get tired but for the most part you can sit up for a good length of time.
• Your current mode of transportation is rolling. You roll anytime you're laid down anywhere...the crib, the bed, the floor....we have to keep our eyes on you at all times because there's no telling where you'll roll!
  
• You sat in the shopping cart at Publix the other day and didn't slump over once! You LOVED it!
• You are still a drool monster and are teething like crazy, but there are no teeth yet. I can feel the bottom teeth getting closer to the surface though.
• You do okay with one or two strangers, but a few or more at a time overwhelm you and you cry. Several ladies flocked to the checkout at Publix to see you and you almost lost it. I think you have a little stranger anxiety.
• You have the sweetest personality and love your Mommy and Daddy, as well as your big bro and sis.
  
• You are such a smart, funny little boy and it amazes me how much you continue to grow, both physically and developmentally.

I know your first birthday will be here in no time and we're trying to soak up every ounce of Hudson we can! We are so excited for you to experience your first holidays this year. We love you so much, little man! You amaze us every day!!
