I have to be honest, I've been blogging over 2.5 years and have never heard of the Liebster Award. Whoops.

11 Things About Lauren 1. My husband and I have known each other since we were about....7? 8? Long time. Started dating at 16, got married at 22 (on our 6 year dating anniversary).  2. I used to have very very straight hair.(that wouldn't hold a curl!) When I was about 18 or 19, it started getting wavy. My dad's did the same thing. My wavy hair is very unruly and has no shape whatsoever, hence why I straighten it.(or sometimes create decent looking waves with a curling iron) 3. I am very much a foodie, and like pretty much anything. Except olives. Olives are the devil.  4. I played the piano when I was a little girl and it's a skill I kept up with up until I got married and moved out. I really want a piano now so I can start taking it up again.  5. I have never (knock on wood) broken a bone. The thought of breaking a bone terrifies me to no end. If the day ever comes that I do, I'm pretty sure I'll just die right there. 6. I cannot wink both eyes. I'm a left-eye winker. If I try to wink my right eye, the left closes too. That's so weird to me! 7. I'm an only child and have a great relationship with my parents. We're very close, and I'm so thankful for that. 8. I have this weird fear. Seriously, it's weird. I wish I could find a name for it. I've searched and read others have this fear too, so it makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only weirdo. Sunken ships. Not the fear of sinking on a ship, the fear of an underwater, already sunk, big ol' ship down in the water. I can't watch the parts of Titanic that show the ship underwater, I can't look at pictures of anything huge under the water. Not. Gonna. Do it. We went to Hawaii a few years back and the idea of going to visit Pearl Harbor came up. NOPE! Some people are quick to jump on the opportunity to dive down and explore a sunken ship. Heeeeeeeccccckkkkkk NO! The thought of that makes me a little nervous already. OK, I'm gonna move on now. 'Cause basically...

9. I'm, like, crazy good at Wheel of Fortune. Like, mad skills. I'm good with word games in general but Wheel's my show. I yell at the goobs when they make a dumb guess or buy vowels repeatedly. I'm definitely a back-seat, er um couch-seat, spinner. I've applied SOOO many times. I guess I'll just have to chase that Wheel Mobile down some day.

10. I mentally correct your grammar when you speak. I also do this with anything I read. Sorry, it's the teacher in me. I wish I could stop.
11. I have road rage. It's not as bad as it used to be, but if you cut me off, almost cause a wreck, or endanger me, my husband, or my child in any way, expect to hear a nice long honk or see something from me. I'm just sayin'. Respect other drivers and obey the rules of the road. It's not hard. And drive the dang speed limit! Gah!

What is the first thing you notice about people?
Their handshake. And eye contact. Those are probably tied.

Who is your celebrity crush?
Ummmm...it's a tie between Channing Tatum & Patrick Dempsey.

What is your favorite piece of clothing?
I'd have to say...skinny jeans. Hated 'em at first, but I wear them all. the. time. now. Boots, flats, sandals, wedges, they look great with it all.

What is the one piece of makeup you could not live without?
Concealer. Otherwise, you'd see the big ol' dark circles I'm rockin'.

What is the farthest you've traveled from home?
Hawaii? London? Whichever is the farthest.

What is the last book you read?
The Duck Commander Family by the Robertsons. Great book!

What is the worst gift you've ever been given?
Oh goodness, I have no idea. I'm always pretty appreciative of gifts and my people know what I like. I'm sure there's been something at some point in my childhood I didn't like, but I don't remember it.

What was the last thing you cooked?
Taco soup. Crock-pot baby! That's how I roll!

If you could sit down to dinner with five people, dead or alive, who would they be?
Bill Cosby, Blake Shelton(he's hilarious!), my grandfather and grandmother, Betty White. Interesting group there.

Were you named after anyone?
Nope.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and what would you do first?
I'd like to have the ability to time-travel. I'd go back to the precious moments with loved ones who are no longer here and spend time with them again. Especially moments from my childhood.
