That was an incredible day...the best day of my life....so far. ;) That was the day I married my best friend, the love of my life, and my soulmate...my sweet husband Joseph! It's a day that I will never forget, even though some of the details have already faded from my memory, the way I felt, the way we looked, and the way we loved on that day will forever stay with me.
Joseph and I were married on our 6 year dating anniversary (although we did break up for about 10 months in college). We met and grew up in church together and began dating my Junior year (his Sophomore year) of high school. We were pretty much inseparable, and had a great time together. After a little break during college, we found our way back to each other and were engaged a few months later. We married on December 9, 2006. It was a beautiful day for a wedding! Cold....but beautiful! ;)
We were married in our home church, Bellevue Baptist, in Gadsden.
It was an amazing day, and we enjoyed sharing it with our wonderful family and friends.
We had an awesome honeymoon in New York! It was so beautiful at Christmastime!
We visited Rockefeller, had the frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity (and sat at the same table in the movie!), saw the Christmas Spectacular, toured the city, and ate at other great places, like Mario Batali's restaurant, Esca! Delish!
We've had great opportunities to travel over the last 4 years. We love going to the beach!
This time last year we were in HAWAII!!! It was absolutely amazing!
But, as much fun as we've had over the last 4 years....I'm pretty sure that the best is yet to come.......
We are welcoming our sweet baby boy, Hudson Thomas Puckett, into this world in April. We are so excited and could not be more blessed!
Joseph will say he's the lucky one, but I'm pretty sure I am. He is the most amazing husband, friend, confidant, and father-to-be! I couldn't imagine my life without him, and I don't know what I'd do without him...I hope I never have to find out. I am truly blessed beyond measure, and grateful that God has put this wonderful man in my life. He loves me for who I am...which is probably not an easy thing to do lately, supports me, respects me, adores me, provides for me, and is just so much more than I deserve. I can be pretty (very) stubborn and set in my ways most of the time, and I can be a control-freak and get a hot head from time to time...but somehow, he manages to love me just the same. He gets me. It's that simple. We get each other. And we love each other in spite of our faults. (not that either of us have any.....oh, wait...I kinda already admitted I do!) I could not imagine bringing a child into this world with anyone else. Joseph is going to be such an amazing father and I so look forward to making sweet memories as we raise our little boy in the loving home we made.
I love you so much babe, and I look forward to all of the new memories we make in our next 4 years...and in our next 50! Happy Anniversary!

Happy anniversary! You two are fantastically suited to one another and truly blessed! Not even "being around" you, the love you share is inspiring and heart-warming! Praise God everyday that you've found true love with one another and always embrace it with thankful hearts!

ReplyDeleteYou were an absolute beauty on your wedding day (and everyday). I remember Joseph cried like a baby.... that is the day I realized how much he truely loved you. You two make the best couple... and you are right about the things to come. Having a child with one another makes life much more precious. Congrats and may God bless you two with many more wonderful years.
