The Puckett house is finally all decorated for Christmas. It doesn't feel like I did quite as much as I normally do, but I'm pretty sure I put out all of the same things..even one extra tree!
We kept the outside pretty simple, but sometimes simple is just fine.
I got the inspiration for this from someone's yard I saw recently!
Makes it a little festive, and it was a good way to use some extra ornaments I had.
The usual little wreaths on the windows.
I got these two prelit trees at Target for like $40. Not bad. The doormat came from there too. Cute little whimsy reindeer. I got the wreath at Christmas Village in Birmingham a year or two ago and I love it! It's hard to tell in the picture, but it's red and lime green mesh ribbon. Beautiful!
The entryway table has a little bowl and I change things out in it throughout the year. For Christmas, it has some green and red ornaments mixed with some pinecones.
*I still need to get a frame for the picture of Hudson*
More ornaments for a centerpiece.
I also used some pieces of the tree that I had to cut off for symmetry. Smells good at the table. :)
The dining room, complete with what used to be the living room tree.
Love these little snowmen. They're precious.
My absolute favorite parts of the Christmas decor. The beautiful Fraser Fir and the fun mantel.
I LOVE these little deer. They're from my mom.
I'm using the iron piece over the mantel as my card holder. Love seeing all these cards every day!
More keep coming in and I love adding them to it.
More keep coming in and I love adding them to it.
Some of my favorite new ornaments! Got 'em from Target!
I also love my "tree skirt". AKA, my 2 white bedsheets with 2 pretty fabrics on top.
Works for me and cost WAY less than a fancy tree skirt that will get needly and sappy.
I love this sight. A beautifully decorated mantel and tree, and my sweet little guy watching Bubble Guppies in his Christmas PJs.
I love our stockings from Ballard Designs. Yes, the dogs' stocking isn't monogrammed and there's only one. They share it and since it's not monogrammed, it can be used in the future for any pets we have.
I don't really have decorations out in the bedrooms or bathrooms, but I did put these pretty towels in the guest bathroom.
Hudson's elf (Mr. No-Name) likes to just hang out in his playroom. We haven't done the whole elf on the shelf thing, mostly because I don't think Hudson cares and would keep up with it(nor would I!!). I just leave him out for Hudson to play with. I know the book says don't touch him, but good luck getting a toddler to keep his hands off of a tempting little elf! HA!
We've had 2 ornament casualties so far. Little guy cannot keep his hands off the tree!!(which is why it's not quite as put together as it was a couple weeks ago) I've been tempted to take it down. I was (not so)bright enough to put several breakable ornaments on it. I have no idea why. Rest assured, they won't go back up next year. ;)
Once again, a tree skirt of just pretty polka dot fabric.
I love these little lit trees my mom gave me that she no longer needed. I put one on either side of the doorway between the kitchen and living room.
They're also very fun to play with!
A few knickknacks in the kitchen.
Pretend you don't see the unsightly switch plate. K, thanks.
That's it. Like I said, I feel like it's a little skimpy this year but maybe it's just me.
It's probably not the worst thing in the world with my very inquisitive child. The less stuff for him to get into, the better...for my sanity at least. ;-)
I wanted to do some of the adorable stuff I've seen on Pinterest but,
