September Birchbox

I didn't think this month's Birchbox was ever going to come! It's usually here by the 12th-15th each month so I was getting really antsy thinking it wasn't coming. But I knew it was coming because I got my shipment notification email last week but I swear it took twice as long to be delivered as it normally does. It finally arrived Saturday...almost a week out from October. Oh well. It's here and that's all that matters.

Let's check out the goodies that $10 got me this month:

~ WEI to Go Sleep Over Kit - Wash away dirt and debris with the camellia oil-infused gel cleanser, then perfect your skin with the moisturizing face tint.

~ Kate Spade Twirl perfume - I've gotten a perfume sample in every single Birchbox, which is kind of getting old. I LOVED the one I got last month(Juicy Couture Viva la Juicy La Fleur...smells so good!) and have used it all up. Twirl smells good too, but is a little stronger. It's a little fruity and a little floral but I don't think I'd wear it regularly. It's a little too strong for me.

~ Color Club Custom Nail Polish in Status Update - I was hoping I'd get this in my box. They had a few other colors but I really wanted this stormy gray. I tend to shy away from true black polishes, for fear of looking gothic, but I think gray is a nice alternative without being too harsh.

~ Twistband hair tie - I've seen these hair ties and been curious about them. They supposedly are much better for your hair and don't snag and pull it like other hair ties do. I've been using it since I got it. I like it. I doubt I'll pay the $18 for a pack of 12 though. ;)

~ Tili bag - A fun bag to store your beauty products or anything else you have in your purse.

~ Boscia Nightly Hydration - oil-free moisturizer that refines pores while soothing away irritation. I'll add this to my nightly routine and see what I think. I'm glad it's oil-free.

~ Bonus: A coupon code for $25 off an order of $75 or more from Madewell. I've never shopped there so I don't know what kind of things they have, but I'll definitely check it out! That's a pretty good deal!

I have to admit, I wasn't absolutely thrilled with this month's box, but I do love the nail polish and am excited about the coupon to Madewell (assuming I like their stuff). I've even considered canceling the box over the last couple months. However, this is pretty much the one thing I do for myself and it's meant to be a fun surprise every month when you open the box. It's a great way to get familiar with and try products and brands you otherwise wouldn't. And if you find something you fall in love with, go to the website and order the full size! You can even earn Birchbox points, which become Birchbox dollars to go toward purchases! 100 points equals 10 dollars and I'm at 80 points, soon to be 140 after I review the products I received this month. That'll help pay for a product when I decide to buy one. Also, if you refer a friend to Birchbox and they sign up, you get 50 points! Sooooooooooo, if you'd like to learn more or sign up please go here. :-)

I hope y'all had a great weekend and your Monday was a good one. What a beautiful day! Hudson and I spent some time outside earlier and I'll post pics of it tomorrow. That boy LOVES to be outside!
