Bucket List

*no, this isn't about the movie. Although it is wonderful!!*

The other day, I was thinking about some things I needed to add to my bucket list. Now, I don't have an actual "list"...just ideas I keep in my head for later. I did start a Bucket List board on Pinterest, but it doesn't have all that much on it.

I thought I'd share some of the things on my bucket list with you.

In no particular order.....

- Build my dream home
- Learn to play the guitar.
- Learn a new word every day, for a year.
- See, and hike, the Grand Canyon.
- Road trip out west. This one is a HUGE one for me!!
- Make a difference in at least one person's life.
- Be on Wheel of Fortune. Seriously....obsessed!!
- Go to culinary school.
- Skydive
- Ride an elephant. They're precious creatures and they fascinate me.
- Learn to fly a plane.
- Take a self-defense class.
- Learn to shoot a gun. (for protection, nothing crazy!)
- Complete a marathon.
- Buy a baby grand piano. (& learn to play better)
- Meet Ellen DeGeneres. I think she's just a fabulous person. So fun, so genuine, and so compassionate.
- Watch my children realize their dreams.
- Grow old with my sweet hubby.
- Travel. Travel a LOT!
- Visit penguins in Antarctica. Random? YES!
- Vacation in the French Polynesia and stay in an overwater bungalow.
- Go to an SNL show.
- Visit LA.
- Visit every state once. (at this point, I've visited maybe 10-12?)
- Go to Greece....Italy....Paris....like I said....travel a LOT!!
- Safari in Africa!
- Learn another language.
- Learn to ski....water and snow.
- Renew our vows in a beautiful outdoor ceremony, with an amazing after-party!!
- Sing onstage with one of my favorite artists.
- Gavin DeGraw concert...as well as James Morrison.
- Witness an eclipse.
- Learn sign language.
- Attend a music awards show.
- Take ballroom dancing lessons.
- Visit Alaska
- Meet Gordon Ramsay (Love him! And he really doesn't scare me.)
- See all 7 continents.
- Solve a Rubik's cube. Yeah, I know.
- Become an event planner in some capacity.
- Ireland. Gosh, it's beautiful.
- Watch an entire sunrise/sunset.
- Attend a BCS national championship in which Bama plays. :)
- Visit Napa Valley
- Scuba Dive
- Dine at one of the world's top restaurants.
- Adopt a family for Christmas
- Visit the Mall of America.
- Take a helicopter tour over Kauai
- Take Hudson(and any children we may have) to Disney World
- Go on a cruise. The idea used to terrify me, but I think I would like to do it.
- Take photography classes.
- Pay for a strangers' groceries/meal.
- Zip-line in Costa Rica

Well, those are just some of the things on my bucket list. There are SO many more! Seriously, there are entirely too many things I want to do...which is good, I guess?

What things do you hope to do one day?

Happy Wednesday!! It's Duck Dynasty day! QUACK! ;)

  1. LOVE your list! I was excited to see that I have checked off a few of those but that we have similar aspirations! Maybe we can complete some together--especially the travel ones! Oh and you can combine visiting Alaska AND taking a cruise. I hope Forrest and I do that in 2 years!
